2020 sees the 13th Record Store Day in the UK and the 5th at Spinning Discs Sheffield on Saturday 18th April.
Due to popular demand (we like to listen to you all) we’ll be opening our doors at 8am and closing them at 6pm. Last year the first person stood in the queue around 3am! So bring a warm jacket and shoes!
On the day itself and the following week we’ll (as ever) sell all of our RSD stock on a first come first served basis (as we’re sure you already know) and we do have the right to not serve any one if we think they are going to ‘flip it’ (i.e. put it straight on to eBay et cetera) as this isn’t what RSD is about.
For Record Store Day in 2019 we teamed up with our wonderful neighbours at Create Coffee to have a full day of enjoyment through vinyl lovers being able to spin some of those RSD19 tunes on some decks, drink great coffee and eat some fantastic cakes – and we’re planning on doing the same again in 2020!
Our Record Store Day Queue Quiz (compiled by our very own Popmaster Dan) will be back to keep those brains ticking over with prizes including a £25 Record Token and a selection of other goodies!
We’ll be posting and listing all the potential top quality vinyl exclusives on our website and Social Media feeds before the day – and on Record Store Day itself we’ll keep you all up to date with what’s in and what’s not via our Twitter (@Spinning_Discs) feed
A big thanks to all of you who came along to see us on Record Store Day RSD19 – We’re sure that we’ll see you on Record Store Day 2020 – if not before!
And finally, don’t forget that it’s RSD everyday!
