Spinning Discs Sheffield is an independent record shop established to give music lovers in Sheffield a place to meet, relax and browse new, reissue and select second hand vinyl in a friendly community environment. We are not a global. We value our Customers, their views and comments.
We cater across the very wide board of musical tastes from Indie to Classical and Hip Hop to Metal.
If we don’t happen to cater for a Customer’s taste then we always welcome a discussion to see what we can do.
We want you to enjoy the experience of spending time browsing through physical records and perhaps chancing upon something you fancy or even just liking the cover art and thinking “why not”. We believe that the age of the physical format is here to stay. So let’s get physical.

In the Record Emporium at Spinning Discs Sheffield we’ve got over 6,000 select second hand records for you to browse at your leisure.
From sound effects to sound tracks to ambient to classic rock to classical and a wide range of 7s. You’ll find an eclectic mix to browse and dig. Come along and spend some time finding something you never expected to find.
Do you have records that you no longer listen to?
We buy used records and can offer you cash or credit for them.
Please do contact us in advance to check that we are buying or trading to avoid any unnecessary disappointment – as we do have times when we need to work through and pass on collections that we buy.
We are generally interested in loads of different genres including Indie, Pop, Soul, Disco, Funk, Reggae, Punk, Post Punk, Rock, Soundtracks, New Wave, Metal, Death Metal, Dance, Trance, Hardcore, Goth, Jazz, Industrial, Library, Folk and more.
We unfortunately don’t consider buying classical, shellac 78s or MOR/easy listening.
