ABOUT SPINNING DISCS

Spinning Discs Sheffield is an independent record store established to give music lovers in Sheffield a place to meet, relax, drink coffee and browse predominantly new, reissue and some select second hand vinyl in a friendly community environment. We are not a global. We value our Customers, their views and their comments.

We cater across the very wide board of musical tastes from Indie to Classical and Hip Hop to Metal.

If we don’t happen to cater for a Customer’s taste then we always welcome a discussion to see what we can do.

We want you to enjoy the experience of spending time browsing through physical records and perhaps chancing upon something you fancy or even just liking the cover art and thinking “why not”.  We believe that the age of the physical format is here to stay.  So let’s get physical.

If you love music and love vinyl then Spinning Discs Sheffield is definitely worth a visit.

Record Emporium

We’re launching our Record Emporium in September at Spinning Discs Sheffield.  We’ve got over 1,000 select second hand records for you to browse at your leisure.  We open the door on Saturday 10th at 10.30am.  Why not pop along?

You can come and have a look through all of the lovely vinyl we’ve got in the shop without the fear of potential trench foot or having to head back to lay down in a musty tent with poor sanitation.

So if you’re heading down to see us then you can expect to find some restocks of the recent Mumford and Sons ‘Johannesburg’ EP, the (believe it or not) third album (at only 22!) by Jake Bugg and The Blossoms with the ‘Getaway’ EP.  We’ve also got the new Alt-J ‘Live at Red Rocks’, Mick Harvey’s ‘Delirium Tremens’, Kneebody & Daedelus and more.

New in – 17th June – Spinning Discs Sheffield

You may have noticed that we’ve added another ‘Friend’ to our website.  Brag Vintage founded and based in Sheffield since 2011 has quickly become one of the largest online vintage clothing stores in the UK.  They’ve also got a physical shop too (which we like) in Sheffield City Centre.  Go check them out.

They’ve also been kind enough to mention us in one of their recent blogs ‘A Vintage Inspired Day Out In Sheffield‘.  Truly a great read.  Go check it out by clicking here!
